History
Bridlespur is a community of 261 homes in southern Kansas City, Missouri. It was developed in the 1960’s and is made up of large lots, single-family homes, tree-lined streets, and sidewalks. The community is near I-435, offering quick and easy access to the greater Kansas City metropolitan area. See the Maps section for the original plats for the neighborhood.
Bridlespur residents enjoy the benefits of a safe, comfortable neighborhood with Red Bridge Elementary School located within the subdivision. Other schools nearby are Notre Dame de Sion High School and Avila University. St. Joseph Health Center is less than a mile from the center of Bridlespur and just a few minutes further is Menorah Medical Center. Easy access to shopping at Watts Mill, the Red Bridge Shopping Center, Waldo, the Ward Parkway Center, the Brookside Shops, the Country Club Plaza, the shops and merchants at 135th and State Line Rd. as well as the Town Center Plaza is of great benefit. Minor Park Golf course is within walking distance, Halbrook and Blue Hills Country Clubs are also within 2 miles of Bridlespur. The newly remodeled Red Bridge branch of Mid-Continent Public Library and churches of various denominations are within walking distance. Minor Park is also within biking and walking distance and has hiking trails, shelters that can be reserved for outdoor events. basketball courts and 6 newly installed pickleball courts. As a result, Bridlespur is a great place to live!
